James Bond fever in Kitzbühel! Numerous participants from all over the world came to the "Fireball" ski race in March. But it is much more than just a ski race! The "Fireball" is a unique event in honour of the legendary James Bond creator Ian Fleming. Fleming lived in Kitzbühel for three years at the end of the 1920s - after being expelled from the posh boarding school Eton. During these years he spent a lot of time on the boards and with his local friends, and many of his experiences were later incorporated into his Bond novels.
In his honour, "Kitz" was transformed into a Bond film for one weekend. Motto: "Diamonds Are Forever". This time for a good cause, because part of the proceeds from takings will go to an aid organisation for people from Ukraine.
