The Sportpark Kitzbühel is home to the Austrian "Curling-Bundesleistungs-Zentrum" - the only curling hall in Austria. In addition to general playing and training opportunities across all generations, there is also space for competitions here. Many top-class tournaments and championships are held in the hall, including the Austrian National Championships.
Upon arrival at the curling hall, everyone is equipped with special shoes and a professional gives a short introduction to this extraordinary sport. The aim is to place as many stones as possible of the team colour in the "house". To influence the curl and speed of the stone, the curling broom is wiped. The ice is heated with the pressure and frequency of the wiping.
